CHANGE, Inc. Celebrates Community Action Month

CHANGE, Inc. celebrates 35 Years of Service in the Ohio Valley

CHANGE, Inc. is celebrating Community Action Month, dedicated to recognizing the success of the national Community Action Network. America’s Community Action Agencies connect millions of children and families to greater opportunity, transforming their lives and making our communities—and our nation—stronger. During the month of May, CHANGE, Inc. will be highlighting its services that showcase their innovative work in the Ohio Valley.

“Community Action Month is a wonderful time to honor and celebrate the impact Community Action has in the lives of families and communities across the country,” stated Judy Raveaux, CEO of CHANGE, Inc. “The Community Action Partnership Network offers insight to leaders looking to understand what is working on the ground to help families thrive—creating smarter solutions that can be put to work within communities across the country.”

Raveaux continued, “This past year, our agency has served 32,132 individuals and empowered them to work towards self-sufficiency. We provided 15,017 patients with access to affordable healthcare through our various health services. Our work changes lives and strengthens our entire community.”

To celebrate its success and raise awareness in the community, CHANGE, Inc. encourages individuals to visit one of their offices or go online to www.changeinc.org to learn more about the programs and services offered.

CHANGE, Inc. was established in 1983 to create opportunities in the northern panhandle and beyond through health care, housing, outreach, transportation, income management, and emergency services. CHANGE, Inc. is a member of the Community Action Network, originally created in 1964.
