CHANGE, Inc. Home Buyer Education Classes Offered
If you’re preparing to buy your first home, it’s important to plan ahead to effectively manage your finances and be a successful homeowner.
Take advantage of the CHANGE, Inc. Home Buyer Education class. This class is HUD-approved and can help you qualify for reduced rates with certain lenders and the Northern Panhandle HOME Consortium’s Down Payment Assistance program.
CHANGE, Inc.’s Home Buyer Education class will guide you through the complex process involved with buying a home including:
|· Purchase readiness
· Budgeting and credit issues
· Shopping for a home
|· Obtaining a mortgage loan
· Predatory lending
· Maintaining your home
The class is FREE; however, there is a small fee for your credit report, which is mandatory for the class unless you can supply your own. Attendees are required to complete and submit the class application seven days prior to the class they wish to attend. Only completed applications will be accepted.
To obtain an application, stop by one of the CHANGE, Inc. offices or download the application from www.changeinc.org under the “Community Services” tab.
The next scheduled class will be Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Lynn Murray Memorial Public Library, 601 Rail Road Street, Chester, WV.
If you’re unable to attend the class due to other commitments, CHANGE, Inc. also offers an online Home Buyer Education course available to take any time. There is a nominal charge for this convenient online class, but no application is required. Details on how to take the online course is also located online at www.changeinc.org under the “Community Services” tab.
